My Story
Regular medicine failed me over and over. I was never heard. I was made to believe it was all in my head.

Since I was a little girl, I had numerous health struggles and no answers. I started passing out from stomach pain and had numerous tests, just for my parents to be told that I had a low pain tolerance. This repeated, and in college I eventually had a colonoscopy and they called it IBS. Finally, at 25, I saw a more integrative doctor and was diagnosed with celiac disease.

In between all of that, in high school, I developed an eating disorder. Hardly eating 600 calories a day and overexercising. That turned into binge eating and yo-yo dieting for years. I am happy to say now through everything, I have learned what and how to eat for my body and have found true food freedom, and feel the best I ever have.

Then I hit what I can only describe as the lowest time in my life - mentally and physically in 2018. My hair fell out, my skin was breaking out in rashes, I developed asthma, I couldn't’ sleep and had horrible insomnia, worse gut issues than ever, and multiple food sensitivities. I found out I had been living in mold and had developed chronic inflammatory response syndrome. That's when I truly found low-tox living and root-cause healing.
Shortly after I decided to get off of hormonal birth control which, I had been on for almost 10 years. My period didn’t come for 4 months and I developed horrible acne. Thankfully over the years I learned exactly what my body, cycle, and skin needed and haven’t had acne in years.

When COVID hit, I went back and got my holistic nutritionist and holistic health coach certifications, and after I went back to work when the twins were born, I felt like something was just missing. I officially started Hartman Holistic, unsure where it would go and it has grown into something that has exceeded my wildest expectations.

In the middle of all of it, I experienced my own pregnancy losses and learned how to heal from them. My faith in God has gotten me through truly the hardest seasons of my life, and it is woven into everything I do.

Over the past two to three years, walking this journey with so many women heal has been unbelievable. Women having periods that come without any pain (they don’t even feel them coming). Women finally getting to experience clear skin, reduced cravings, and bloating, feeling amazing in their bodys. Watching the lights turn on when they truly understand what’s going on in their bodies all month and how to support it. And seeing them walk into pregnancy with ease and confidence - getting and staying pregnant. It has been truly better than I could have ever imagined.

I believe everything I have been through allows me to help women on a deeper level, outside of just my credentials. I know what it feels like to be dismissed, to be told it is in your head. To be told your bloodwork is normal while you know in your gut something has to be off. To watch and feel your body change and have no one be able to tell you why. And I know what it feels like to come out the other side.

When our bodies are speaking to us through our cycles, our symptoms, our gut health, they are trying to tell us something. I never want a woman to feel the way I felt. And getting to walk women through that healing is a gift I will never take for granted.

AT HOME
Mom to boy-girl twins (3.5 years old). My husband Ben is truly the reason I am able to do what I do.

OUTSIDE OF WORK
I love dogs - we have a shepherd mix named Theo. I also, got into fiction reading last year and it was one of the best things I ever did for my brain, and I am super focused on supporting my nervous system and doing things every day that bring joy, peace, and calm. I spend a lot of time in prayer, on walks, and with God. I also love a great gluten friendly restaurant and making healthy meals and treats for our family.
